This year’s Spirit Days marked the fortieth anniversary of our beloved Mount Carmel tradition! Echoes went into our archives to find out what we said four decades ago about the first-ever Spirit Day celebration for the Pink Panthers, Purple Butterflies, Ragdolls, and the freshman theme for 1977-78, the Caterpillars! October 13, 1977 was the first senior Spirit Day, summarized in the “Senior Activity Highlights.” Check out “Cubs Welcome New Teachers” at the bottom; Sister Rose Marie is still at Mount Carmel today!
September 23, 1977 was the first-ever junior Spirit Day celebrating the Pink Panthers.
